Gift Ideas Using ForeverGreen Products, for Mother’s Day Birthdays and other special occasions.

When it comes to meaningful gifts, nothing says “I care!” more than natural, therapeutic quality essential oils.  Packaging them with a few simple additional items will create an unequalled combination of creativity, convenience, quality and caring. In the most recent post are 22 delightful gift packs and gift baskets that will really make an impression!

1.  TheUltimate Bath:
Start with a small woven basket, add colorful tissue or shred, then include a colored, scented votive candle, a box of bath salts and 2-4 bottles of essential oils.  Some of the best ones for relaxing include lavender, rose, mandarin, neroli and balsam fir.

You can further customize this basic gift for a grandmother by adding a copy of “Chicken Soup for Grandparent’s Soul”; or for a teen by adding “Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul.”

2.  Aromatic Bath:
A simple variation on #1 above, this assortment consists of a small basket with 2-3 bottles of essential oil accompanied by a sachet of bath perfume.  The combination in this photo is a bottle of lavender oil with a lavender bath sachet.  A simple gift, but a marvelous sensual experience.  Other ideal combinations could include neroli oil and lemon sachet, or rose oil and rose sachet.

Some simple printed instructions will help insure the oils are used correctly for a not-to-be-forgotten bath experience.  You could also include a coordinated votive candle and bath poof.  See item #4 ‘Shed the Stress’ basket for still more ideas of things to include in a bath basket.

3.  Health-building Foot Spa:
Packaging essential oils with Dead Sea Salts creates a luxurious way to bolster healthy minerals in the body.  Dead Sea Salts are laden with valuable minerals that are absorbed through the skin on the feet.

In fact, the soles of the feet have more pores per square inch than any other part of the body.  The addition of 2-3 essential oils and some decorative sea shells nestled in colored shred make this a gift one any woman–or couple–would love.

4.  ‘Shed the Stress’ Bath basket:
This collection combines, in a decorative black wire basket,  essential oils with some relaxing music on a CD along with a bath poof, color-coordinated towels and luxurious body wash.  A relatively inexpensive collection that is an invitation to a soothing bath experience that will be remembered for a long time. In our stressful culture, a gift like this will surely be appreciated.

5.  Misting Sprays Kit:
One of the most pleasant applications with essential oils is creating water-based misting sprays to create stimulating or soothing environments, depending on the essential oils used.

Here, a couple of easy to use PETG spray bottles are packaged along with 2-3 essential oils with wonderful aromas and the instructional Stillroom book by Alexandria Brighton which includes–among many other things–directions for mixing the misting spray solutions.  It is finished with a bright blue bow for a delightful color accent.

“From the Stillroom” can be ordered by contacting me, or you can print up simple instructions for making misting sprays with essential oils, add some floral pictures.  Depending on the oil, you can create a whole variety of moods and atmospheres with misting sprays.

6.  Sensual Aromas Kit:
Here is a delightful variation on #5 above.  In this simple white gift box are included two very sensual essential oils–Jasmine and Sun blend–along with a convenient 4 oz spray bottle.  These are nestled in artificial nesting material, along with a beautiful butterfly to complete the package.

Other oils that have sensual aromas include Neroli, Rose, Ylang ylang, Bergamot and Red Mandarin.

It is amazing what a difference the right aroma can make when one is trying to relax and relieve stress.  Some aromas are sedative and can really help one unwind.  Others are invigorating. But everyone’s preferences are a little different, so it’s good to experiment until you find your perfect relaxation oil or your perfect stimulation oil.

7.  Romantic Massage-In-A-Box:
Nothing soothes like a massage with essential oils.  This convenient kit, assembled in a decorative box, includes 3 essential oils that are wonderful for massage (in this case Rose, Jasmine and Lavender, but you can vary to fit the recipient), plus a bottle of Message grapeseed oil.

Blending 15-20 drops of essential oils per tablespoon of Message oil will create wonderful massage oils.  The ‘extra touch’ is a CD of romantic music; and the whole kit is set off by a bold matching ribbon.

8.  Spring Flowers Basket:
Very often, women who like the natural aromas and benefits of essential oils, also have an interest in flowers and gardening.  Here is a creative Spring basket that includes a pair of gardening gloves, flower seeds, a small bird house, and a memorable plaque along with essential oils and a spray bottle.

Here the basket is festooned with flowers that match the seeds and a color-coordinated ribbon.  What could say spring more perfectly than this basket?

9.  Gardener’s Care Basket:
This will impress your gardener friends!  In a festive yellow and green box is assembled a pair of gardening gloves, some seed packets, 2-3 gardening hand tools (in this case some pruning shears and a hand spade tied with ribbons), along with two essential oil blends for sore muscles (TLC and Cairo Care) and some Touch antibacterial soap.

Anybody who has worked in the dirt knows that hands need care when the work is over!

10.  Natural Therapy Boxes:
Essential oils can be combined to fit very specific therapy needs and packaged beautifully as shown here.  For example:
(1) a Liver Cleanse Box could include lemons and oranges, along with Lemon oil and Peppermint oil and printed instructions for using them to support the liver.
(2) a Muscle Pain Box could include Marjoram and Fysical Ther P blend along with Message oil and printed instructions.
(3) a Joint Pain Box could include Birch Oil, Cairo Care Blend and/or Fysical Thera P blend along with a re-usable ice pack and printed instructions.

11.  Special Friends Basket:
Here’s a simple way to let your special friends know you really care.  Find a basket with a handle, trim with a colorful ribbon and bow and combine a great book, some essential oils and a color-coordinated candle.  Finish it off with some matching flower blossoms.

Other options you can consider in an aromatic Friendship Basket include:  a CD of favorite relaxing music, hand-written notes, helpful instructions for getting the most out of the essential oils, a gift certificate to a favorite movie or restaurant, some top quality healthy chocolate, a set of earrings or a necklace, a manicure set, bath poof, fresh fruits (lemons, oranges, pears, etc), a small meanginful figurine, a special quotation, a memorable photo–the list is endless.

Anything that is special to you and your friend will make a basket like this a wonderful memory for years to come.

12.  ‘Clean Green’ Basket:
This is ideal for anyone who wants to avoid toxic cleaners in their home, and especially beneficial to those who are sensitive to them.  This combines the antiseptic properties of essential oils with a variety of the tools used to clean the house.  This particular basket contains a pair of latex gloves, a feather duster, two hand towels and a washcloth along with essential oils and a bottle of HouseKeeper biodegradable cleaner.

Citrus oils always work well for cleaning, and Defense or Guardian are particularly effective as antiseptics.  A few drops of essential oil in a tablespoon of HouseKeeper will work wonders–in all kinds of cleaning applications–throughout the house.

13.  After-Sports Refresh Basket:
Perfect for athletes and exercise enthusiasts.  Essential oils can do wonders for tired muscles after exercise, and, of course, proper hydrating is necessary in order for them to work well.  This basket ties all that together with a couple of bottles of pure water and some essential oils that are ideal for after-exercise topical applications (Cairo Care or Fysical Thera P).

Or, alternatively, include oils ideal for adding to drinking water to make it even more refreshing (such as lemon, orange or peppermint).

Included with this basket is the fascinating book, “Hidden Messages in Water,” which shows amazing electron microscope photos of water molecules.

14.  Seasoning with Essential Oils Kit:
This collection is contained in a decorative metal tin and includes a little book, a couple of jars of high end spices and three essential oils.  The ones in this kit are dill, marjoram and rosemary, but almost any essential oils is usable for seasoning food.

Other oils commonly used for seasoning include oregano, lavender, peppermint, lemon, orange, basil, cinnamon, black pepper, rose, lemongrass, and thyme.  Because they are concentrated, typically 2-3 drops will take the place of a whole teaspoon of dried spice.

15.  Cooking with Essential Oils Kit:
This kit takes #14 to yet another level, by adding a number of convenient cooking tools and packaging them in a mixing bowl.  This set includes two different spatulas, a kitchen towl and washcloth, some empty dressing/sauce bottles, blank recipe cards, and a set of measuring cups–along with the essential oils.  In this case, citrus oils were included.

Note how all the utensils and bowls are color-coordinated.

16.  Fun in the Sun with Essential Oils:
Whenever someone is going on vacation or a cruise, where they will be spending time in the sun, you have a perfect opportunity to commemorate that with the benefits of essential oils.

First and foremost on any list should be the fact that lavender oil is probably the best known remedy for sunburn!  But there are many additional options.

In this brightly colored basket, we have included some beaded sandles, a pair of sunglasses, a colorful plastic fish and starfish, along with Balance moisturizing gel (a great natural sun screen), Quench moisturizer and essential oils for the skin, which must include the lavender!

Anyone who has been on a sun vacation and gotten sunburned will appreciate the wonderful–and rapid–healing effects of lavender.

17.  Aromatic Stationery:
There are any number of forms of stationery, thank-you notes, recipe cards, to-do lists, cards for remembering, which can be packaged with essential oils to create a very practical and desired gift set.

In this case, a bottle of essential oil is tied to a stationery set with an attractive ribbon. But they could be assembled in a box or a basket, depending on your tastes.

Remember to tie the mood of the oil with the mood of the stationery when creating these kits.  For example, soothing oils like neroli, rose and lavender would work well with thank-you note stationery, while stimlulating oils like peppermint or pine would fit better with ‘to do’ list stationery.  Oils like cinnamon, orange and sage would work well with recipe cards, etc.

The next 5 gift sets do not use essential oils specifically, but could.  They are based around some of Forevergreen’s other natural products…..including chocolate!

18.  Chocolate Dream Basket:
This gift is just what it says…a dream!  This large basket contains a chocolate melter, a package of shortbread cookies, a fun chocolate sign, some fruit, and–of course–a package of healthy chocolate.

Another variation on this could be to put the chocolate wafers in a clear plexi cannister.  The whole thing is tied together with a golden bow.  Imagine what an impression a gift like this would make!

And essential oils like orange or peppermint could also be added with recipes for creating orange chocolate or  mint chocolate

19.  ‘Emergency’ Chocolate Kit:
Everyone has had a ‘chocolate attack’ at some point in their lives (and some of us have them on a pretty regular basis!)  Why not create a ready solution to the problem with this ‘emergency’ chocolate kit.

It combines a large mug filled with a sealed bag of healthy chocolate wafers and a card tied to it that says, in part:  “Emergency Chocolate, for immediate relief of chocolate cravings, lovesickness, mild anxiety, family drama, exhaustion, etc, etc.”  As they say, “Chocolate makes everything go better…..”

20.  ‘Dragon Drinks’ Kit:
Here is a TRUessence original.  If you’re looking for a gift that no one can duplicate, try this one.  Package 3-5 of the HYDRessence Dragons (whole plant concentrate blends) into a box, tin or basket with instructions on how to turn each into a stimulating, refreshing, healthy drink.  What a way to dress up your water!

Include a sheet of instructions on how to mix the Dragons and be sure to include at least one bottle of RainMaker for sweetening.

21.  Gifting FrequenSea:
Here’s a fun gift that plays on the ocean theme.  Fill the bottom of a clear plexi box with sand, stones and/or sea shells simulating the ocean floor.  Add a bottle of FrequenSea and tie with a pretty ribbon and you have an eye-catching gift that is truly an original.

A card with instructions and/or your testimonial could also be inserted.

You can be sure a gift like this will get sampled and used.  Imagine the double benefit from a friend who receives this attractive gift and then discovers its amazing health benefits after trying it!

22.  Lavender BathGel Basket:
When it comes to bathing/showering in soothing luxury, you just can’t go wrong with lavender.  This little basket is trimmed from top to bottom with lavender color and lavender aroma, by decorating the basket with a lavender ribbon, adding a lavender hand towel and lavender candle, and then including a bottle of Silk organic lavender body wash.

An obvious optional addition to this basket would be a bottle of lavender oil to complete the set.

To your good health!
