The Essential Oil Quaility that ForeverGreen purchases (has a TRUessence Label) are from vendors that have been approved and a Lot representative sample is reviewed of each lot before it is purchased. We must know the Country of Origin and the botanical species of the essential oil in order to evaluate it. Different plant varieties & geographical location will result in differences of the essential oil composition.
FG defines the different types or species of the essential oils with separate item numbers. FG tests every lot by running on the Essential Oil Gas Chromataograph, FID and GCMS, to know the chemical composition and to ensure it is All Natural. FG does physical tests as for odor, refractive index, specific gravity, optical rotation and closed cup flashpoint. Each oil has ranges that are acceptable and must be the range for approval. The oil from a plant species and geographical location has certain characteristics; FG tests the oil to insure it is 100% Pure & Natural and that we maintain a consistent quality. There is natural variation that is always present when dealing with a natural product. The testing is done to make sure ourcustomers will receive the same quality to use in their products.
ForeverGreen has lot traceability of our products, due to most of them being used in multiple areas, as cosmetics, aroma therapy and the food industry. The food industry uses GMP(Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines and they have to have lot traceability for their products. This is a part of our Quality System.
